Villa Barberino 20, Tuscany

Villa Barberino dates back to the 1700/1800s and is immersed in a partially natural garden, since part of it has been designed by the property owner, a landscape architect. The original construction has been maintained with its antique stone walls but inside, modern comfort is united to the antique atmosphere.
In the magnificent landscape with its many views, the owner imagined and conceived the infinity pool (17 x 6 meter and 1 to 2,20 meter deep), inserted amongst the hillsides and their vineyards overlooking an endless horizon and framed by a panorama of incomparable beauty.

Even though the property is very close to the town of Barberino Val d’Elsa, it preserves its absolute privacy thanks to the 15 hectares of olive trees (property of the owner for production of extra-virgin olive oil) that stand between the town and the property. In addition, the villa is located halfway between Florence and Siena (the bus stop for Florence city center is 200m away from the villa). Inside the property area there is a small vineyard, fruit trees and a garden from which there is a breathtaking view.
On one side the endless valley with vineyards and olive trees and on the other side, watching over the Villa, the medieval village with its bell tower and houses that light up during the evening and make it look like a living brethren. The private garden is completed by a barbecue and children plays area.
There is also another playground, well kept and equipped, and a bike rental just a few steps away from the entrance of the villa. For sportspeople, a cycling lane unites Barberino Val d’Elsa to Tavarnelle Val di Pesa.

Built at the beginning of the 1800s, its a typical Tuscan villa. The Villa (nearly 600 sqm) is divided in two floors with a central tower. The large windows and doors allow the sun to filter and gloriously illuminate the inside on both floors. Rustic and very Tuscan on the outside, luxurious and comfortable inside. Brick vaults on the ground floor, wooden beams on the top floor and Tuscan cotto floors all over make this villa an outstanding example of Florentine style.

Ground Floor:
One triple elegant living room with a (crystal designed) table (12-16 people), one smaller elegant and welcoming living room with fireplace, kitchen, patio, laundry room, one bedroom with en suite bathroom, studio and a service bathroom. A further wonderful triple dining and living room with a dining table for 12/16 (other table for more people), comfortable couches and armchairs scattered here and there plus a satellite TV, CD players, and Hi Fi including cds. Elegant and antics furniture. There is also a cozy smaller living room with fireplace where you can relax and read a book or listen music… or play the guitar (on request).
Big double kitchen with all the accessories you may need to organize dinners for your family or friends (two stoves with 8 fires, 2 electric ovens, 1 gas oven, microwave, big Whirlpool refrigerator, american coffee machine, dishwasher, water dispenser for cold or warm water for tea – 20 drinkable water liters box available at 25,00 € each) and a little cellar with some wines on disposal.

Upon request, the cook is always available to prepare dinners that can be enjoyed sitting comfortably also in the adjacent covered charming patio with a table from 12 to 18 people with amazing garden with valley view and BBQ. In this level there is also the red bedroom with two single beds (can become a double bed) and en suite bathroom with shower.
Small laundry room with washing machine and dryer. All the spaces in this floor are connected by large corridor where there is PC area with fast and wireless internet connection.

Cottage SPA: Stone building with spacious “pergolato” equipped with loungers, chairs, tables, which is located at 15 meters from the swimming-pool. Gym, sauna (on request), relaxation area, bathroom with shower and ping pong.

First Floor:
The villa is equipped with air conditioning in all bedrooms of the first floor: There is a total of 5 extra large bedrooms with private bathrooms and amazing view, four of which with its own fireplace:
Yellow room: big Junior Suite with Queen size bed, fire place and bathroom with shower and hand held shower. Crib corner (on request).
Green room: big junior Suite with Queen size bed, fire place and bathroom with tub and hand held shower. Beautiful garden and village view.
Bordeaux room: big junior Suite with Queen size bed, fire place and bathroom with shower stall. Beautiful valley and garden view.
Blue room: Spacious twin bedroom with 2 single beds (or double bed on request), bathroom with shower stall. A further single bed can be added on request. Beautiful pool, garden and village view. White room: master Suite, King size bed, living area, fire place, sitting area with extra single bed + full bath with tub and shower stall. Beautiful valley, pool and garden view.

Extra bedrooms: The villa can be rented together with the following additional suites (only rentable together with the main villa): There is a total of 4 extra suites available:
Garden house 1: Situated on the ground floor, this bedroom is 20 sqm. Private access, a large window and a glass door, illuminate the gracious and simple bottom floor with wooden beams and cotto floors. There is a bedroom with 2 single beds. Private bathroom with shower stall.
Garden house 2: Situated on the ground floor, this bedroom is 25 sqm. Private access, a large window and a glass door, illuminate the gracious and simple bottom floor with wooden beams and cotto floors. There is a bedroom with double bed. Private bathroom with shower stall.
Medlar room: Located in the building just 20 meters from the villa – first floor. Charming bedroom with double bed (or twin), elegant, large windows, breathtaking vineyards view, private elegant bathroom with big shower. TV with international channels, hair dryer, soaps box , air conditioned.
Walnut room: Located in the building just 20 meters from the villa – first floor. Charming bedroom with double bed (or twin), elegant , light, large windows, garden and valley view, private and elegant bathroom with big shower. TV with international channels, hair dryer, soaps box, air conditioned.

There is a last suite that is only available on request to reach the maximum capacity of 22 guests, please, send an inquiry for this extra suite.
